I had quick Q&A with Rache’ - winner of our Cruelty-Free Beauty Giveaway ♥️

  • What do you study currently?

  • I’m currently studying fashion, I’m a third year fashion student at Cput.

  • What does fashion mean to you?

  • Fashion has always been a part of me, since I was a kid. If it wasn’t for my mother raising me the way she did, I never would’ve loved fashion the way I do now. Long story short, I wasn’t spoiled when I was a child. My mom never bought me clothing for my dolls, I had to make my own, that’s how I fell in love with the process of garment making. Fashion is the way I can give back to people, mentally. Making women feel so so beautiful, giving them that push in self-confidence is what I live for. I love making people happy and if it’s through my passion for fashion, then it makes me happier. My mother always said; “Please don’t study psychology because you will always get too attach, risking your happiness for someone else’s.” That’s what I do, working day and night through, living on coffee so that this dress could put a smile on a young girls face. That’s what I work for a smile, and it makes me happy.

  • What inspires you?

  • Growing up, I had this book with famous celebrity pictures, woman and men. I use to always say as a young child;” When I grow up, I want to be this beautiful too” (being bullied motivated me to create this book). This book opened my eyes and now everywhere I go I see the beauty of people and it makes me sad when people say negative things about themselves. People around me inspire me. I wish women could see what I see and if it takes my garments to make them feel confident and beautiful in their own skin and nature, then I’ll keep creating until can’t no more.

Keep your eye out for this talented young lady - changing the world one garment at a time.

A xx
